Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information from visitors to our Web site and for which purpose. 

What information do we collect about you?

If you are a website visitor we only keep track of the following information: the pages you visit, your IP address and an identification of your browser and computer type. Eg: a Telenet customer visited the website with Chrome on a mobile device. Another visitor was a customer at KPN Netherlands and used the Firefox browser on Windows 10. In addition, the website uses cookies that ensure that we can recognize you on a subsequent visit. These are small text files that are stored on your device and that your browser sends at each visit. This contains information such as which language you prefer, or a unique visitor number that you are automatically assigned. If you are a customer with us, we also keep track of your contact and billing details. You gave it to us in your purchase order when ordering. 

Who collects this information about you?

How do we collect this information?

The information is shared with us and comes directly from you. By ordering from us, you give us permission to collect them. The data about which browser and which type of device you use, as well as the “cookies”, will send your browser. We receive the IP address from your computer. 

Why do we collect this information and how do we use it?

Of course, we want to be able to contact our customers to send you correct invoices, if something is wrong with their account or to offer support. In addition, we use certain information (browser, unique identification, number of times a link is clicked) to improve our site or to analyze any problems correctly. The cookies serve to offer the functionality of the site, such as staying logged in or your language choice. The information about your page visits helps us on the one hand to improve the site, on the other hand to analyze and solve possible problems with the web application. 

How long do we keep data about you?

We do not store data longer than necessary. For website visitors that is 5 years. We retain the account details of the customer for as long as the law obliges us to do so. 

Who do we share this information with?

We use most of the information ourselves, and we share it only with our suppliers to the extend needed for the fulfilment of your order. The visitor analysis on the public website is also done by an external company. They receive your IP address, the identification that your browser sends, an identification cookie and the pages you visit on our site. 

What rights do I have?

The GDPR focuses on you as an individual and gives you a number of rights. In this way you have the right to inspect the information we hold about you and you may adjust (or have modified) incorrect data. You can also ask us to delete data, and you may object to the transfer of your data to third parties. If you wish to exercise one of these rights, please contact us by email or in writing.Through the settings of your browser you can delete the “cookies” that you identify. You can also set there to not use cookies at all. It may be that certain parts of the website or application do not work correctly.It is true that your right to be forgotten does not take precedence over certain legal or contractual obligations. For example, we must be able to contact our customers at any time, and we must comply with the Belgian accounting requirements. If you believe that your rights have been violated, you can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
